Icarus Marine Namibia is the design authority and regulatory partner for vessels, offshore structures and composite engineering across Namibia’s maritime and oil and gas industry.
Icarus Marine Namibia (Pty) Ltd (IMN) opened in Swakopmund in 2018 as the Namibian arm of the Icarus Marine group. Icarus Marine (Pty) Ltd was founded in Cape Town in 2006 as a naval architecture company specialising in high-speed craft and hydrofoil-supported catamarans.
IMN brings that design background to the heavier end of the market: offshore supply vessels, FPSO and storage tank integrity, floating dry docks, and the composite engineering that keeps ageing steel in service.
We act as design authority and regulatory lead on our projects. That means we own the calculations, prepare the class and flag-state submissions, and stay with the work through survey and approval.
